4 - How to get to Milan
Milan is very accessible from other cities within Italy.
4.1 - By car

If heading to Milan from southern Italy, take the A1 Autostrada. If arriving from East, the A4 Autostrada should be used. The traffic will become slow while approaching Milan, so it' best to leave the car in a park in the outskirts (e.g. Famagosta parking, open everyday from 6.00 am to 01.00 am) and enjoy the great and cheap public transportation system of Milan.
4.2 - By train

The rail lines offer quick connections both to northern and southern Italy. Milan is connected to all major cities of Italy and Europe. You can check the internet side of the Italian railways company for the timetable and prices: www.trenitalia.it, (site available in English too)
4.3 - By plane

Thecity has a large international airport known as Malpensa International Airport (MXP). It is located near the industrial town of Varese. It is connected to downtown with the "Malpensa Express" railway service (from Cadorna and Central station - Fare 12€ per trip).
There is another commercial airport called Linate Airport ("Aeroporto Forlanini", Lin), which is near the city limits specialized in domestic flightsand in short-range flights within Europe, directly linked to the city with the bus line 73.
The third airport is Orio al Serio (BG), close to the city of Bergamo, serving low cost airlines.
